Vblogging...
Yesterday a friend asked me what happened to the video blog episode I normally have a day or two after a Tweetupmellers/Twums.
Unfortunately, a family funeral a week ago threw a couple of plans for that out a bit. I'm sure readers will understand that such a thing must take precedence over blogs for a small amount of time. It would have been too optimistic to do video interviewing straight after a drive back from the country or to prepare this year's changes to production.
So I'm looking to the second Twums of the year to begin 2010's version of my video blog.
Some lessons were learnt during last year's video blogging. One lesson was not to have an over-long opening sequence, so you'll have noticed the shorter opening in the last couple of episodes last year.
Length and style...the 2010 opening sequence will differ from last year's, shorter and with new footage.
Schedule. Initially last year I wanted a bi-weekly schedule, but settled to a monthly one straight after each Twums night. This year I'll be looking doing episodes on a fortnightly basis, a nice, humane, regular timing. It's more a middle ground compared to last year.
That schedule will start from the second Twums onwards.
So it'll be one Twums episode, then a non-Twums episode on alternate fortnights.
So, if you're attending Twums and want to get some extra Twitter/YouTube exposure, have a talk to me at the next one about doing a video interview.
And if you've got something new in tech or social media, feel free to ask me to present it on the alternate fortnight's episode.
Remember to tune in around the end of February for the first episode of this years At Geehall One Video Weblog.
